How To Backup or Transfer MyChair to a new device

Starting in MyChair 2.0.0 you can now backup the MyChair database separate from a device backup. However this proccess does not support backing up and restoring the Images that are stored in MyChair. This process does not in any way sync the devices, nor will setup sync for iCloud.

How To Backup MyChair :
NOTE: As of MyChair 2.3.0 you can email yourself a backup of the database. Go to "Options" > "Backup Data Files" and email the backup to yourself. The steps below are the best sure fire way to back up your data.

1. Connect the device that has your MyChair database on it to your computer and start up iTunes.
2. Once the device shows up in iTunes, you should see it on the left side, Click on your device.
3. Then click on the App across the top of your device info page
4. Scroll down on that page and you will see File Sharing area.
5. Click on the MyChair icon that is listed in the Apps area below the File Sharing title.
6.a You will see the MyChair Documents on the right. Click on the MyChair1.sqlite file
6.b Note if you are running iOS 7 and the version of MyChair is less than 2.4.0 you also need the file named MyChair1.sqlite-wal. If you are using MyChair version 2.4.0 or greater you will not see a MyChair1.sqlite-wal file.
7. Then Click the Save To button, and select a location to backup your MyChair database to.
Its a good idea to keep several backups over time. Dont just replace the latest backup every time. Incase that file become corrupt. Try creating folders on your computer with the date that the file was backed up.

Your MyChair Database is now backed up. You can also copy the imgs folder which contains all the images taken by MyChair but you can not restore these due to limitations in iTunes at this time.

8.a Then Click the "Add.." To button, and select the MyChair.sqlite database you previously backed up.
8.b Note if you are running IOS 7 and the version of MyChair is less than 2.4.0 you also need to provide the file named MyChair1.sqlite-wal. If you are using MyChair version 2.4.0 or greater you will not see a MyChair1.sqlite-wal file.
